Diet For Backache
Backache is the general term for conditions that cause inflammation and pain in the lower back. Backache is usually treated with painkillers. Studies have shown that limiting food that triggers pain and including anti-inflammatory foods can reduce symptoms. These include red meat, highly-processed foods such as sugary or fermented foods; fried foods; and foods that contain “partially-hydrogenated oil”.
Recommended Foods
- Rice, whole wheat bread, Moong, Kulatha, Til, Cow’s Ghee, Parwar, Louki, pomegranate, and ginger are all essential for bone formation and muscle function.
- Foods rich in calcium include milk, yogurt, lassi, and green leafy vegetables.
- Magnesium is found in dried fruits, nuts, wheat germ, and bananas.
- Adequate potassium is important for managing backache, as well as providing toughness to muscles and helping in neurotransmission.
- White beans, dark greens, apricots, and avocados are all potassium-rich foods. Also, salmon, bananas, mushrooms, apricots, and avocados.
