1. US FDA Approved Herpes Treatments

Antivirals such as Acyclovir, Famciclovir and Valacyclovir are presently the only US FDA approved antiviral drugs for the treatment. Although these medications may help reduce the frequency and severity of symptoms, they cannot stop or cure Herpes. The side effects of these drugs can range from nausea and hair loss to severe symptoms of neurotoxicity.⁽¹⁾

• Bee products: No evidence of benefits so far
• Echinacea: No evidence of benefits so far
